The team is made up of emerging markets professionals with a wide breadth of experience and perspectives to successfully structure and complete global transactions. Mr. Kelly Chow was Senior VP of Merrill Lynch with over 15 years emerging markets experience. Mr. Hutchinson has over 30 years of capital formation and investment banking expertise. Sam Pai is head of institutional sales in the United States, where he has worked in emerging markets experience in organizations ranging from global investment banks to start-ups. Together they provide topical and innovative insights and ideas for our institutional clients on company and sector performance, macro items, market-changing events, and other areas of interest in addition to leading a team of sales and sales trading professionals.

Kelly Chow

Mr. Chow started his career at Merrill Lynch New York, where for more than 10 years as Senior VP, he managed the Company's large investment accounts. For the last few years with his established client base and focus in helping fast growing private sectors, Mr. Chow has successfully become one of the earliest and most well respected people in bridging international finance with Chinese companies. Mr. Chow was also Chairman and Founder of United States-China Real Estate Summit, being first of its kind held in highest level in New York since 2003 and started financing China projects.

 

Sam Pai

Sam Pai is the Managing Partner. During his twenty-year career in finance, he has had extensive experience in fund management and Investment banking. From 1998 to current, he has been a consultant to 20 companies in various industries. He has also been a consultant to an investment fund focused in China that has grown from $8 million U.S. to its current $500 million under management. Over the last few years, he has traveled extensively to China, evaluating more than thirty Chinese companies for investment possibilities and has been involved in decisions to invest over $100 million.

 

Scott E. Hutchinson

He has over 30 years of corporate finance, venture capital, corporate development and operating experience. During the past fifteen years he has focused on private equity investments in emerging growth companies and the launching of three on-line financial service companies. Has personally acted as advisor, managed and/or directed the placement of capital and negotiated the completion of over 50 transactions valued in excess of $450 million. As Executive Vice President of Cruttenden & Co. (now Roth capital), a regional investment banking firm, who secured the initial outside capital and headed Corporate Finance spent six years as Executive Director at Ventana, a venture capital firm, where he successfully managed the first cross-border private equity fund between the U.S. and Mexico. He helped launch OptiMark, a state-of-the-art electronic stock trading system designed to revolutionize institutional stock trading. Helped launch E*OFFERING, a full-service on-line investment bank leveraging partnered with E*TRADE. E*OFFERING participated in over 50 public offerings in its first year. Received BS and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California. Was the founding president of the Orange County Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.

 

Tony Tsai

Joined Kuhns Brothers as an Investment Banker with a background in Private Banking Business from Merrill Lynch (Private Client Group), where he held the position of Financial Consultant. Additionally, he worked as Director of Business Development for Techedge, Inc., formerly known as China Quantum Communications, Inc. in Iselin, New Jersey. Mr. Tsai served as the contact person for all corporate investment administration matters between the transfer agent, broker dealers, analysts and independent public relations firms. After he helped restructure and financed the reverse merger between China Quantum Communications and Techedge Inc., Mr. Tsai held a position as a Investor Relations for Techedge Inc. Mr. Tsai holds a BBA in International Marketing, with a concentration in Financial Brokerage Services and Compliance.

 

Larry Chin

Mr. Chin has over ten years experience in research, banking and investment management. Over the past several years, Mr. Chin has been extensively involved in helping Chinese SMEs go public and raise capitals in United States. He is fluent in both Chinese and English and understands the two different cultures well. Larry is both CFA and graduated with a MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
